Resumo:
O teatro do oprimido é um método de alfabetização estética, sistematizado por Augusto Boal, que visa à transformação da realidade opressiva através do diálogo e da ação teatral. A árvore do teatro do oprimido é o símbolo desse método, uma representação metafórica que contém as partes fundamentais da metodologia. Essa pesquisa tem por objetivo apresentar um estudo sobre a simbologia, a história e a sistematização da árvore do teatro do oprimido, bem como disponibilizar um memorial descritivo e crítico de minhas próprias experiências profissionais no centro de teatro do oprimido do rio de janeiro. Este trabalho pretende colaborar na disposição da árvore do teatro do oprimido como elemento pedagógico essencial na multiplicação do teatro do oprimido.

Abstract:
The theatre of the oppressed is an esthetic alphabetisation method, systematized by Augusto Boal, which aims to transform the oppressive reality through dialogue and theatrical action. The theatre of the oppressed tree is the symbol of this method, a metaphorical representation that contains the key parts of the methodology. This research aims to present a study of the symbolism, history and systematization of the theatre of the oppressed tree and provide a descriptive and critical memorial of my own professional experience in the center of theatre of the oppressed in Rio de Janeiro. This work intends to collaborate in the provision of the theatre of the oppressed tree as an essential pedagogical element in the multiplication of the theatre of the oppressed.
