Ecoturismo & Conservação [Ecotourism & Conservation] is a journal created at the scope of the Post-Graduation Program in Ecotourism and Conservation (PPGEC/UNIRIO) to consolidate itself as technical-scientific vehicle to publish research results, as well as technical and artistic products on ecotourism and protected areas, with emphasis on obstacles, potentials, subjects and conflicts, articles, reports and technical-scientific essays.
Ecoturismo & Conservação is an open access journal published on a yearly basis (in December); it receives contributions in a continuous flow. Submissions must be made by August 31 to be published in the current year.
In addition to researchers, its target audience comprises managers of protected areas and of the public sector in the tourism and environmental fields, national and international institutions focused on conducting research in associated fields, as well as representatives of groups who are affected by visitations in protected areas or who work in this segment.
We encourage contributions addressing the topic “Community-based ecotourism” for the 2022 annual publication.
