Rules for entrance of foreign students and brazilian students with diplomas from foreign institutions to the postgraduate program in food and nutrition - PPGAN

RULES FOR ENTRANCE OF FOREIGN STUDENTS AND BRAZILIAN STUDENTS WITH DIPLOMAS FROM FOREIGN INSTITUTIONS TO THE POSTGRADUATE PROGRAM IN FOOD AND NUTRITION (PPGAN)

approved by the PPGAN Committee at a meeting held on 10/21/2015

The entrance of a foreign student to the Postgraduate Program in Food and Nutrition will occur in 2 ways:

A –   participating in the selection process in a current public notice;

B -    selected directly by the supervisor, when coming from programs of National and International funding bodies, and having a scholarship guarantee from these bodies during their training;

        The foreign student who enters in the form of item A of this standard, as well as the Brazilian student who presents documentation from foreign institutions must, mandatorily, present the graduation diploma (master's course) or master's degree (Master's degree course) revalidated in accordance with the laws current nationals up to 30 days before the defense of the dissertation project (master's) corresponding to the seminar II subjects or thesis project (Ph.D.) corresponding to the thesis seminar subjects of PPGAN;

        Under no circumstances will the student who join the PPGAN in the form of item B of this rule, be able to claim a scholarship through the PPGAN at any stage of their training;

        It is set forth that the dissertation/thesis must be presented in Portuguese with the defense optionally being able to be in English or Spanish.
