➠ EDUCATIONAL PRACTICES, LANGUAGES AND TECHNOLOGY
Teacher Education is the topic mostly investigated in this research line. It is addressed from different perspectives, such as from “pedagogical images” of the body, as well as from “narrative investigation networks”. Discipline matrix is another important topic in the set of studies conducted in this research line; it is addressed from different theoretical-epistemological perspectives. Languages and technologies are addressed in studies about “Visualities” (learning from images) and in those about “poetic images in Natural Sciences”. “Practices” are also addressed in research about educational modalities, such as Environmental Education, Intercultural Education and Ethno-education, which are investigated through different approaches ranging from the ecology of knowledge to comparative studies. Finally, studies on Evaluation stand out in this research line, since they have been conducted in this Program since its foundation.
We have achieved a new approach to a topic previously investigated by us in the last accreditation process, namely: Childhood, which is currently addressed from the cultural perspective, as well as a topic that emerged in society and, nowadays, is addressed in our investigations, namely: Gender and sexual diversity in education.

➠ POLICIES, HISTORY AND CULTURE IN EDUCATION
The research line operates in the context of a broad and varied perception of the “Politics” concept. It is divided into 3 sets of topics: the first one works straight with investigations about Education Policies, along with their planning, implementation and evaluation processes. Research objects comprise Integral Education policies (full time), Education Management, Early Childhood Education and Education Plans (national, state and municipal). The second set of topics adopt the historical approach to accumulate knowledge about ideas accounting for building the identity of movements, such as the anarchist one, or those associated with defined social sets, such as ‘associativism’ among women.
Finally, we have a third set of topics that is circumscribed around specific social conditions, namely: Youth and Childhood, which aims at contributing to the education field. These studies investigate age groups-specific educational policies, the relative importance of educational policies in comparison to other policies affecting the investigated sets (Childhood and Youth), the effects of interaction between policies on children and young individuals’ educational processes, such as policies focused on family during childhood or labor policies focused on young individuals).

This research line investigates issues associated with both public policies and different educational practices implemented in basic education and non-formal education contexts, with emphasis on literacy, educators’ formation, verbal and non-verbal languages, youth and childhood, and discipline matrix.
