Can I attend a discipline as special student?

Yes. Discipline professors, themselves, account for authorizing your participation in it. Thus, the first thing you have to do is to get in touch with them and check whether there are vacancies for special students. If there is such availability, then, the second step is to access the program’s webpage (Link), fill out the form for external students, include the signature of the professor in charge of teaching the discipline, and send it to the e-mails of the program’s secretariat () and coordination ().

According to Article 38 of the General Regulations for the Stricto-Sensu Post-Graduation Program of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State (UNIRIO), special students cannot attend compulsory disciplines; they can only enroll in elective ones.
